My name is Jason Just and I teach modern electric guitar and acoustic guitar, bass and ukulele lessons here in Wellington, New Zealand.
Are you interested in having a FREE guitar lesson (bass lessons and ukulele lesson also offered)?
I provide a FREE guitar lesson with no strings attached, where I can either get you immediately started or quickly help you with some musical obstacle. As a full-time music teacher I provide times from morning to evening to suit your schedule.
Do you want the best value for money guitar lessons in Wellington?
I’m confident I provide the best value for money guitar lessons in Wellington so much that I offer all new students not only a FREE trial lesson but a money back guarantee on the first month’s lessons, with no questions asked.
Is there a dream or goal you seek to achieve quickly?
We’re not all born the same and our goals and dreams are individual. I provide a fun learning experience in the journey to reach your goals and dreams and I tailor the lessons to match each student’s tastes and styles individually. My students come from all over Wellington; Upper Hutt, Island Bay, Pukerua Bay, as well as the Chatham Islands to study with me.
Have you just started learning the guitar and you don’t know how to get better faster?
Learning a new skill does not come from a book. None of us learned (or will learn) how to drive without the aid and instruction of someone else to coach us in person – it is the fastest way to learn. Not only that, avoiding bad habits early on requires a good teacher who will make it easier to play, learn and enjoy playing the guitar.
Are there any learning difficulties or techniques you’d like to conquer?
I provide expert feedback on your development with an emphasis on correcting annoying problems and habits without having to start from scratch.
Are you frustrated with the self-learning videos or books?
The internet, videos or other self-learning methods only provide information that can never offer you feedback which is integral to preventing bad habits that restrict your playing, an experience that is de-motivating and frustrating. I provide positive feedback about all aspects of your playing that you have right and what you may be doing wrong, in which case I’ll show you immediately how to improve your playing ability; information without feedback will never and can never provide this.
Are you stuck with a teacher who is not providing you with a path to your goals?
Regardless of your playing ability, whether a beginner or an advanced musician I teach all levels and playing styles. Ask yourself if your teacher teachers in a logical and linear fashion, more often than not this is not the case and people end up playing little pieces of songs or styles that they can’t use elsewhere. Is your teacher only teaching part-time? They are most likely working being distracted by the other job and cannot devote all their attention to teaching. Does your current teacher instruct you on how to organise a practise time so you can get the most value out of your guitar lessons? An experienced teacher will save you time learning and save you money as well as encouraging you to achieve your goals swiftly, leaving you feeling good about your playing ability. Like a good sport’s coach a good music teacher keeps you on the right track.
Here at my Guitar School studio you will find an experienced teacher to listen to you and help develop plans specifically for you to achieve your goals quickly.
